Wood Ribbon Reed

These reeds are used to make a shed while band weaving. They’re ideally used in backstrap weaving, where one end is anchored to a stationary object (such as a doorknob or a table) and the other end is attached to the weaver’s waist with a belt. However, they can also be used while band weaving on a full-sized inkle loom in place of Texsolv or homemade or on a rigid heddle, table, or floor loom.
