This double woven cloth makes a wonderful placemat that’s heavy enough to rest firmly and flat on the table. The double woven cloth is reversible, with more dark showing on one side than the other. The design has a left border of small rectangles with larger blocks to the right. It’s also easy to modify this pattern for a table runner.

The double weave has 15 picks per inch per layer. It’s a simple 2-shuttle weave and is suitable for a first double-weave project. Instructions are provided in PDF form as well as the WIF files.
